Donate Equipment & Materials

We have been approached by a number of groups intending to replicate our work and join the effort of Live Open Science applied to LENR. Some are better funded than others, but in any case, we are hoping for many 10s if not hundreds of groups and individuals to join this distributed open research effort. As a direct consequence, there is going to be a great need for equipment and materials.

Many of us have worked in a number of environments where equipment or materials was bought for a job, paid for itself and has then been left idle with no prospect of re-use. In other cases, things that are just surplus to requirements or bought in error and no one has the time to return the item or liquidate it in good time.

There may also be people out there that think “how can I help?” and “don't have any cash but might have something”, now they could either be part with or loan out on a long term basis.

If you think you have something that could be of use let us know, obviously, we want consistency in core experimental equipment and so we might have to make an assessment if something was functionally equivalent but something laying around in your lab or store room might help our growing effort enormously!

We might be able to help with shipping to make things convenient and we'd want to say a little thank you to you on our site.

We would ask for items in any geography as it having different local options would reduce shipping and import costs/taxes/paperwork. Please, take a look at the suggested list of items below and send us a mail using the green “+” to the right if there is anything you or your company could offer, donate or borrow. Send photos if that would help us determine practical use. Please don't take offence if something is not immediately accepted as we might place offers on file until the item is best matched to the most local research team. If we work together in this way, we'll be able to ensure the highest quality research in each location with the minimum barrier to entry.

In some cases, like with very expensive analytical equipment like scanning electron microscopes or services like specialist sputter coating and fabrication, we'd love to hear from people that could help donate time on equipment or access to their manufacturing capability.

Lastly, if there is anyone out there willing to take on the role of coordinating offers of potential gear and organising logistics, please get in touch. Such involvement is not likely to be more than a couple of hours a week. This would be a good task for somebody that wants to help out but is lacking relevant scientific or engineering skills.
