if anyone has or can get some nice 1920 X 1080P footage of fire from a lighter / match on a white background, sump oil or a lump of coal on a white background, we want to put together a little viral vid for the New Fire.

Ok, we would like to make a satirical, but serious viral Video in the format of a well known technology company and we need help. We need Copyright free artwork - Ideally your footage with release - to support this video when it is on a white background. Maybe some people out there know of budding cinematographers with kit to do decent 1920X1080P 30FPS footage that might work with the following script.

Also if you people are good at music production and can provide copyright free audio clips that would work then that would also be a great help.

I had a go at doing a take in our office and here is what I got - maybe there are people out there that could do something better, or different language vocal tract that we can include with the upload.

Here is the raw footage with blue screen (not a public link yet - want to reserve that for the finished thing)



So basically we need high quality footage that can be layered on white - ideas for what we should capture would also do.

And when I did the initial set-up of the studio this incredibly weird thing happened.



Please help make this really cool!

I offer to provide an animated opening intro for the videos. Don't know if it will be useful for this viral video, but the intro can be used in other youtube videos.

It will be about 6-8 sec long and will show a nice logo in 3D, after some special effects etc. Here is my first try in designing the logo. Its a H atom with purple fire. Suggestions are most welcome.

We have a simpler design for consideration that I will post it here soon.

Lets see if we can get a number of logo designs together over the coming weeks and let the community take a vote on which direction they think is best.

That is cool logo concept. I appreciate the Hydrogen atom and the flame. I'm partial to a green or blue flame myself. I think the flame should be smaller compared to the atom, maybe.

Whilst many of the New Fire reactions do use atomic hydrogen, there are many that use deuterium, so on reflection I took this good idea out of the concept attached.

I wonder if you might be able to make a few dirty vector versions of this crappy sketch of mine - flash drawing is good for this on a tablet if you have one or the the free android app "infinite Design Free" on the Galaxy Note 1 or 2 is great. I like the rough cut cave of the Delta - the flame could be cleaner. Need various colour choices and monochrome and black and white versions.

Basically it is a Greek delta symbol which is the standard scientific symbol for change. Inside its walls is a reactor core emitting heat in the shape of a recognisable flame (via convection).

The delta should be more like the lower one but I prefer the "flame" in the top one - the flame could be tried in various colours - but I think that the current ones or similar take NO EFFORT for any human to identify.

The meaning of the symbol is three fold to follow our journey

1 "change fire" : call to action for the world for its own sake

2 "change the fire within" : demand for change

3 "change in fire" : recognition that the product baring the symbol is driven by a new prime mover… the New Fire, in one of its many guises.

Ideally it should become a trust mark. It will easily work as an icon.

One can see the Delta as a the inside of a cave - sort of very primal - giving a nod to the humans that "discovered" Fire 1.0

The flame has a hot core and is essentially encased by the reactor walls (the cave). This makes the reactor inherently safe as there is no "flame path" to start fires and if the wall temperature is kept below common household items ignition temperature then again it is safe.

The name of the logo and the brand is

"Delta Pyro"

and can be phonetically spelt in greek characters as

Delta Pi Rho

Please could you work up some variations of the "elta pyro" in both greek, greek inspired and simple fonts for a vote.

Any initial call to action animation could be coupled with an aggressive song to capture the disenfranchised youth of the world who most need this new industrial revolution, like this one made by the suitably named band "Porno for Pyros".

Thanks - but way too complex on the fire and way too simple on the "cave" walls.

basically the cave should be a rough vector and the flame even more simple than the graphic I supplied.

I don't really want the fire in the cave to be seen as a traditional fire - more a heat source that is convecting into a shape that looks like a single flame.

Also the cave walls that make the delta are not an isosceles - more like the shape of the smaller symbol on the supplied graphic.
